During Ellen's rehearsal dinner, she gave us this cute snowman candle. From what I understand, it is a candle designed by a welder in Nicaragua. Very simple - yet elegant.
Thanks, Ellen and Luke. What a great idea!
I wrote Ellen an email and she replied with the following information about the snowman.
Yes, there is a good story behind it. It was made here in Nicaragua. We have a friend, Mike Diebert, who works with Missionary Ventures here in Nicaragua. He runs a vocational school (basically a blacksmith shop) where he teaches Nicaraguan men how to work with their hands and create many different things. That candle holder along with the other Christmas ones (angel, tree) was made by these guys.
Happy New Years!
Judy
