The Sin of Comparing Missions

One of our young missionary gals recently wrote a blog about the
"Sin of Comparing Missions".

This is a great read!

Friends and Ministry

Last week, we had the honor of hosting Jori and John, visiting us from Spain.

Our week was filled with ministry and enjoying God's beauty.

It would not have been a complete trip if we had not gone to Casa Del Mundo.

We always enjoy the entertainment at Mike's Coffee Shop.
Who else has been here?

Fresh Coconut, an early morning hike up Pacaya Volcano, Spectular sunrise, dinner and games with other missionaries and trying all different coffee shops in Guatemala were just a few of the things that John and Jori experienced here in Guatemala.

Happy Birthday to Me

Sunday, Oct 20th, I turned 63.

Another way to put it.

I'm 21 three times.

I'm in my happy place!  We got the last 2 seats on American Airlines heading to Denver!

Karen picked us up and we headed straight to Church.

We had lunch at Pieology.  It was kinda like
theology and biology
all wrapped up in a slice of pizza.

63 years ago, my parents were thinking of the name Kathy Diane. My parents decided on the name Judy Kay - after Judy Garland. I was born after the Saturday afternoon SMU football game.

Karen treated me to the movie - "JUDY" after Judy Garland.  It was a sad movie.  But, hey, it's my birthday!

I had a fun-filled 63rd birthday by flying in the plane, attending Church where Thomas was preaching, followed by eating a delicious pizza and wrapping up the day by watching the movie, JUDY on my birthday, whom I'm named after!

I'm thankful for the 63 years that the Lord has allowed me to walk this earth.  I look forward to many, many more years here and look forward to sharing those days with family and friends.

My Heart is Blessed!

Pictures are worth Thousands of Words!

Our Kansas City GrandKids
Brighton (nearly 2) and Violet (5 months)

Then we drove just 6 hours to see Ellen and her family in Fisher, Illinois.  They recently moved there after Luke graduated from Denver Seminary in May.  We had a short 1 1/2 day visit with David, Emily, Lucy, and Elizabeth.

The kids enjoy their new outdoor pool.  Good thing the weather was still warm!

And we were able to go to Church with Ellen and Luke - with Luke preaching.
David (8 years)
Emily (6 1/2 years)
Lucy (5 years)
Elizabeth (2 1/2 years)
and one on the way!

Wait for Me!

We had a great time with the g'kids!
