Only a God-thing. More friends we ran into while in Colorado. We connected with John and Carley Wecks, former pastor at GPBC. They were attending a conference at YMCA of the Rockies and then were going to spend a week in the cabin after we left. We've known the Wecks family all of our married life and have enjoyed keeping in contact with them. Oh how I remember going to Garage Sales with Carley or Ladies Bible Study at Janis' house and how could I forget the White Water Days at the local water park in Grand Prairie. Fun times. They pray for us regularly. We showed them some "must see and must do" stuff in Estes Park.

Then we ran into Doug and Barbara Lamp. They use to serve in Bolivia with South America Mission and also in Brazil. Now, they serve in Brazil with OC. It was quite unique how we ran into them. I had been corresponding by email with Lori McCune and she happened to get an email from Barb Lamp just mentioning that they were in Estes Park at a family reunion. So, wisely, Lori forwards the email to me and I email the Lamps.

Believe it or not, we figured that we hadn't seen each other since 1992. Gary and I visited the Lamps in 1993 in Southern California. We caught each other up on our families and kids.

Tricia Hopper Wynn and new son Caleb. Ok, Tricia is the daughter of Mark and Jeannie Hopper, my former youth director back in the 70s. I traveled down here to Guatemala with the Hoppers on my first missionary trip back in 1973. Also, on my High School ski trip back in 1974, we spent 4 days in Estes Park at the YMCA of the Rockies with Mark and Jeannie and the whole youth group from NBC in Dallas.

We have enjoyed meeting up with Tricia from time to time when we've been in Estes Park. Now, she and her husband are heading over to Europe to be missionaries. How cool is that?

More later.
