Meet Millie - Alumni Association receptionist. She was celebrating her 45th class reunion this past week. Millie is such a sweet worker that graciously greets everyone who walks into the office. I have enjoyed calling the 1 800 DL MOODY and being transferred to her extension. She is an intricate part of the team working in the Alumni Association office. Thank you Millie for your faithful work.
Byron Fujii knows everyone. He has worked many years in the Alumni office. What makes it special is to see him connect with the current students and those alumni who return every year for the Alumni activities. As Byron was speaking with two students working in Catering, I asked them how they knew Byron and their reply was "Oh, Byron was our orientation leader our freshman year and we have kept in contact ever since". Way to go, Byron! Byron is the Magazine editor and Website Coordinator. Thanks for your work!
Elaine Getz joined us as we watched Karen sign during the evening sessions of Founder's Week.Dr. Elizabeth Lightbody received the Faculty Citation Award during the Tuesday morning meeting. She was a missionary and now has taught at Moody for many years. We often run into her down in the dining room or Glenn would give her a "lift" to Moody Church if the Board van had space. She taught Ellen in the class room. I'm not sure if Karen has taken one of her courses. Congratulations!
Karen signed every evening during Founder's Week. She signed for Michael Easley, Alistair Begg, Billy Kim, Chuck Colson and then closing out on Friday night with Franklin Graham. She did a great job. My favorite was when she signed "Lord have Mercy" music with the Moody Choral singing. Beautiful! We're proud of you, Karen!
