Cables X-tremos

Zip-lining

This was our last Lake Atitlán activity.  The morning sunrise was perfect as it rose over the lake.  It was a perfect day to go zip-lining.

Everyone went zip-lining except for Sue, Glenn and I.  Someone had to stay behind and watch the cameras, backpacks and glasses.  :)

Glenn had a cup of cafe con leche, I relaxed and enjoyed listening to the water rush down over the rocks in the stream, as I sat under the canopy of lush green trees.  There were hummingbirds zipping to and fro among the flowers that hung above our heads.

After the 8 different zip lines, there were 2 obstacle courses.  There was a suspended horizontal ladder to walk across the stream and then some swinging steps on ropes to cross back over.  It was quite the challenge, since fatigue started to set in by now.

They are still smiling after the long hike up the mountain, 8 zip lines and a challenging obstacle course!  Way to go Judy and Michelle!
Everyone would have done it again, if they could have.  But we had to continue on our journey and head back on the road and into the capital to pick up the last member of our team from the airport and to start our volunteer work at Casita Benjamín the next day.
