Update

We returned back to Guatemala in December and surprisingly, everything in our home was pretty much as we left it.  It was just a little dusty.  Our Toyota van started right up.  The Hyundai Terracan needed a new car battery.  We were in quarantine for 14 days upon arrival and then again another 14 days for precaution as we may have been possibly exposed to Covid 19.

We are thankful that none of our missionaries have come down with Covid 19, yet there are church members, friends, and relatives who have experienced Covid or even death.  Just last week, Ann, 75 years old, had hip replacement surgery.  Sadly we could not go to the hospital to be with her.  Thankfully, she is home and recuperating quite well.  Another missionary started chemo Monday to fight off the lymphoma she is battling with.  And there are others we keep in touch with.  Please pray for these 2 special ladies as they navigate their challenges.

We continue our monthly Zoom meetings with our Guatemala Avant missionary family.  And then I host a "Cornflakes and Chatter" Zoom meeting once a month designed just for the ladies in our group.  Zoom has become a part of my life with Thursday Bible study with ladies in the states and Tuesday Azmera missionary ladies from all over the world plus Friday Zoom meetings with some dear friends from ages past.

We appreciate your prayers for us as we live and serve here in Guatemala.  We count it a privilege to come alongside these faithful servants in many of their job responsibilities, even if it is through Zoom, just like the rest of the world.
