A NIGHT IN PANAJACHELWe drove on the back road to Panajachel, staying at Las Buenas Nuevas, CAM owned property where 4 homes occupy an 1 1/2 acre of land on the shores of Lake Atitlán. Johnny and María Coker were visiting when we arrived. I think they were doing their laundry.
This is a Sears Roebuck Catalog house built nearly 80-90 years ago. Up in the "Prophet's Quarters" is where Cammeron Townsend, former Central America Mission missionary, and founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL, started working on the translation of the Kachikel language.
