Long Time Bolivian Friends in the House
Chris was visiting his parents, Tom and Mariellyn (current missionaries with ACSI International) and Linda and Dean (current missionaries with CAM International) were visiting their family, Jordan and Hannah (current missionaries with CAM International) studying at the language school in Antigua!
Glenn made up delicious mexican scrabbled eggs for everyone to enjoy for breakfast!
It is always fun to re-connect with friends from our past, in this case
from Bolivia days!

God's Timing
Barbara and Scott were here to visit us. Barbara serves as a professional Christian counselor and we were aware that several of our co-workers were looking for some input. Barbara had even asked how she could help us in our ministry while she was here on her six day visit.
Glenn texted our missionary friends "Barbara is here and she is available to talk". Little did we know, this missionary couple had just prayed, "Please send someone from afar that we could talk with and glean some advice". Just then, Glenn's text arrived.
All this to say, we are grateful how the Lord orchestrated for Barbara to help this couple! You just never know how the Lord is going to work. I know I need to be creative, willing and in tune to opportunities to share our lives with others.
Thank you Barbara for your ministry to those in Florida and to us here in Guatemala.

Wal-Mart Part 2
We were surprised to see NEW products for Guatemala at the new Wal-Mart store. Note, we can now purchase Snapple, Chex mix and Doritos.
Then we noticed a new scanner nearby! Sweet!

Wal-Mart Part 1
Walmart comes to Guatemala City!
Over night, the large H signs for Hyper-Piaz were replaced with the all familiar Walmart sign.
Just like in the states, I noted these 4 guys outside the Eskala Walmart store on Roosevelt advertizing for the store.
Last year, I "blogged" about the Hyper-Piaz. I loved the ladies' Indian dress. Read more.

Drunk as a Skunk
You have to be very careful as you drive. This guy was "drunk as a skunk", however by the time we made our return trip from San Antonio PalopĆ³ (2 hours later), he must have been sober enough to move out of the road - He wasn't there anymore.

JBU Graduation Day part 2
Gary and Taylor have been room mates for the past several years. But it goes back further than that. Taylor grew up at GPBC as well as Gary (when we were home on furlough).
And now look at them. They started out in Nursery together and now they have complete their degree together!
Congratulations, Gary and Taylor!

Gary and GF, Madison
We are so proud of Gary. Not just that he finished college, but that he finished it in 4 years! You made one mother very happy, son!
G'Daddy and G'Mommy were pretty proud too!
You are cool, Gary!
We look forward to the future as Gary continues to follow the Lord's guidance. Praise the Lord he has full time employment in the IT department at JBU!
Congratulations, son!

Place to Stay
I noticed this wall plaque while between the market and Carol's home.
I just had to laugh! I guess it's one option for a
place to stay. :)
Its door #42!

Return to Antigua
After the crowds cleared out in Antigua, we returned for a short visit with Hannah and Jordan.
We are thankful for the 2 week visit by my parents. G'mommy says, "This was the best vacation we've ever had". Since they had been to Guatemala 4 years ago for Gary's graduation, we just took it very easy this time. Dad went with Glenn on many errands. They were able to visit with many of our CAM missionaries here in the city and out at the lake. I'm so glad they were able to come.
Guatemalan Pizza
We also toured a near-by golf resort, La ReuniĆ³n. Nice place!
at night
Dinner with our friends, the Conners!
G'mommy and G'daddy basically came along side of us as we ministered to the missionaries. It was great.
Thank you for your visit. We love you!
