I Chronicles 16: 8-9

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.

Visit with Veteran Missionary

Glenn and I stopped by Zone 1 to visit with Helen.  Sitting at her small dining room table which also serves as her office desk and visiting area, we chatted for awhile.  We handed her some mail, gave her the US stamps she had ordered and listened as she recounted some memories from her many, many years of service here in Guatemala.

She blessed our hearts.  Helen grew up as a missionary kid in Bolivia and has served here in Guatemala since 1951.  She, along with her late husband, David, worked on 4 different Bible translations.

We are grateful for Helen's ministry, her pleasant smile and the way her passion for God and His people is so evident.

How Can I Say Thanks?

36 years ago, after each of us saying, "I do", Glenn and I walked back down the isle to a beautiful organ rendition of "My Tribute".
As we reflect on these 36 years together, we echo the words,
"To God be the glory!"

AndraƩ Crouch, writer and composer of this song, died at 72 on
January 8, 2015.
I know this is an old song, yet I love the words.

How can I say thanks for the things
You have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet you gave
To prove your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am, and ever hope to be
I owe it all to thee

To God be the glory, to God be the glory
To God be the glory for the things he has done
With his blood he has saved me
With his power he has raised me
To God be the glory for the things he has done
Just let me live my life and
Let it be pleasing Lord to thee
And if I gain any praise, let it go to calvary
With his blood he has saved me
With his power he has raised me
To God be the glory for the things he has done

36 Years

Earlier this week, Glenn and I celebrated 36 years of marriage.  I have enjoyed the ride.  Glenn has made my life simple.  He goes along with my spur-of-the-moment adventures we have created together.  We have learned to talk through stuff, laugh and cry with each other and to stick together when faced with life's challenges.

Here are just a few of the things that I love about Glenn.

  • Proof-reads my blogs, prayer letters and FB/Instagram entries
  • Can repair just about anything
  • Is Faithful and Dedicated to the task
  • Loves his grandchildren
  • Makes me feel special
  • Washes the dishes
I can't wait for our next adventure and where life will take us.
Happy Anniversary, Glenn!
I love you you more today than I have ever have.
You are the anchor of my life.

 You are my Hero.

I love you, Glenn!
